Approximately 46 million Americans are uninsured. And with the struggling economy, this number is expected to rise.The Association of Muslim Health Professionals (AMHP) is organizing a discussion forum for residents in the New York City region to create awareness about this critical issue.

Please join us for this community event to learn about the human impact of the healthcare crisis, politics and health care in the US, and the details about health policies for reform - with a focus on universal health care.

Founded in 2004, AMHP represents a diverse body of health professionals and students including, but not limited to: public health practitioners, pharmacists, nurses, dentists, allied health professionals, health care administrators, nutritionists, social workers, mental health, and physicians.
